Chris Miller is a recruiter in the Dallas / Fort Worth office of Kinney Recruiting. Chris received his B.A. from Texas Christian University and J.D. from University of Houston Law Center in 1997, where he was a member of the Houston Journal of International Law. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and spent several years as an associate in the litigation section at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, LLP in the Houston office, specializing in products liability and commercial litigation. Prior to that, he was an admiralty litigator with Royston, Rayzor, Vickery & Williams in Houston. In 2000, Chris teamed up with brightroom, Inc. (www.brightroom.com) – a technology startup based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was directly involved in the founding of the company, from incorporation to early funding. As Vice President, he oversaw the creation and development of the largest profit center of the company and headed up a team that generated $5 million in annual revenue across several vertical markets. He was responsible for product development, marketing, e-commerce strategy and outside sales. In 2007, he co-directed the re-location of the entire lab and production facility from Emeryville, California to Fort Worth, Texas, including the build out of the company’s new 20,000 square foot space in Mercantile Center and the hiring process to re-build the lab and production team from the ground up. Chris’s experience at brightroom gives him unique insight into small and medium business structure and team development / management techniques. Leveraging this experience with his big firm background, he is well-suited to understanding the needs of firms and candidates who call on Kinney Recruiting for service. Chris resides in Fort Worth with his wife and two daughters and enjoys taking advantage of the Trinity River Trails near his house. |
