Global law firm White & Case LLP has advised the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) in negotiations with the Government of Egypt to extend a US$200 million loan facility to support micro entrepreneurial projects in Egypt through the Social Fund for Development.
This financial assistance will be directed towards supporting microfinance development in remote and disadvantaged areas throughout Egypt resulting in the creation of 100,000 projects.
“The successful signing of the loan agreement illustrates the United Arab Emirates’s continued support for the government of Egypt and underscores White & Case’s continued commitment to supporting the government of the United Arab Emirates in its regional efforts,” said White & Case partner Abdulwahid Alulama.
The White & Case team which advised KFED was led by partners Margaret Cole and Abdulwahid Alulama, with support from associates Sherief Rashed and Faris Al Amoudi.
