Global law firm Dentons has fortified its Tax practice with the recruitment of partner Rezan Ökten as Head of Transfer Pricing in the Netherlands and Sebastian Frankenberg as Counsel and Head of Valuation Services in the Netherlands. Both joined the Amsterdam office on June 1, 2023.

Rezan Ökten has built an excellent reputation as a leading transfer pricing lawyer. He advises clients on business restructurings, intellectual property, headquarter cost allocation models, financial transactions, valuations, dispute management and resolution. He has significant experience in advance pricing agreements, tax audits, mutual agreement procedures and court proceedings.
After starting his career at a Big Four firm, Rezan Ökten gained extensive experience as both an adviser and an in-house specialist. He headed the transfer pricing practice at a large law firm and also worked as a global in-house transfer pricing specialist at leading telecommunications and technology companies.
He is a fellow of the University of Amsterdam’s Advanced LL.M. program in International Tax Law and teaches Transfer Pricing Masterclasses at the IBFD (International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation). He is the co-founder and co-director of the Amsterdam Centre for Transfer Pricing and Income Allocation, has authored a book and co-authored various transfer pricing books.
Sebastian Frankenberg specializes in economic (valuation) services for tax and transfer pricing purposes. Leveraging his extensive financial experience gained both in the finance and legal industry, he assists clients navigating through complex strategic and financial challenges. Sebastian performs in-depth tax/transfer pricing valuation services, ranging from equity and (intangible) asset valuations to value-based management and financial/tax modelling services. In addition, he focuses on economic and financial analyses relating to profit allocation issues, business restructurings, financing transactions, supply chain structuring and other transfer pricing matters.
Sebastian is a certified business valuator (RV) certified patent valuation analyst (CPVA) and a member of the Netherlands Institute for Business Valuators (NiRV). He is a teaching fellow at the University of Amsterdam, and a lecturer at IBFD and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).
