Eversheds Sutherland has welcomed Wieger ten Hove, as a partner, to its Corporate practice in Amsterdam. He joins the firm from Simmons & Simmons, having previously worked at Linklaters and Allen & Overy.
Wieger specialises in Dutch corporate law and corporate governance. He has extensive experience in advisory and transactional work in both the corporate/M&A and financial markets practices. His practice focuses on matters ranging from mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, holding structures, reorganisations and employee participations.
His clients include a wide range of corporates, financial institutions, private equity investors and entrepreneurs, both in the Netherlands and across the globe.
The arrival of Wieger further strengthens the firm’s notarial service offering for corporate, M&A and finance in the Netherlands.
Richard Moulton, Partner and Co-Head of Eversheds Sutherland’s Global Corporate and M&A Team, commented:
“We welcome Wieger to the team at a time of growth, as we continue the expansion of our global corporate offering. The specialist capability and expertise Wieger brings to our Dutch practice enhances our market position in a key European jurisdiction and expands the quality of service we are able to offer our multi-national clients.
“Our global M&A team saw a very strong end of year across the board and we look forward with confidence to a busy global M&A environment in 2021. Although the pandemic continues to provide challenges in the short term we remain committed to accelerating investment in our global teams in line with our medium and longer term growth strategy.”
Tom van Wijngaarden, Eversheds Sutherland’s Head of Corporate in the Netherlands, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Wieger to both the Corporate team and Amsterdam office. He brings with him a wealth of experience and will be an integral part of continuing to deliver high quality corporate advice, allowing us to provide our clients with a seamless transition through all stages of the matter process.”
Wieger ten Hove said:
“Eversheds Sutherland’s Corporate team has built a notable reputation in the Dutch market as well as internationally. It is an ambitious practice, with a clear vision. Being able to draw on my experience and knowledge of the Dutch corporate market to help ensure those ambitions and opportunities are realised is very exciting and I look forward to working with the team.”
Eversheds Sutherland continues to strengthen its corporate offering in the Netherlands. Wieger’s appointment follows hot on the heels of the recent appointments of Corporate Partners Jeroen Hoekstra and Elmer Veenman.
