BakerHostetler Adds Versatile Corporate Partner in Atlanta

BakerHostetler announced today that Douglas Eingurt has joined the firm as a partner resident in its Atlanta office, where he will continue his work representing public and private companies in a wide range of transactions. He was previously a partner with Dentons.

Eingurt’s practice chiefly focuses on advising companies of all sizes on M&A and corporate finance transactions. He has worked with public and privately held clients across numerous industries and has particularly deep experience advising on middle-market M&A matters within the healthcare and sports and entertainment sectors and in assisting private equity funds in fund formation and portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions.

Of the many successful M&A matters he has handled, highlights include assisting one of North America’s largest wire and cable producers in the acquisition of a large building wire manufacturer and representing a medical device company in the sale of a majority ownership of the company to a private equity firm.

In addition to Eingurt’s domestic work, he has also successfully handled international transactions for clients in the UK, India and China.

“Doug is a strong addition to our growing corporate practice in Atlanta,” said John Gherlein, chair of the firm’s Business Group. “His broad transactional experience will make him a valuable resource to our clients in Atlanta and around the country.”

“We provide a broad range of legal services performed at the highest level, and with Doug among our ranks we have yet another experienced corporate attorney who can take on even the most complex matters,” said Joann Gallagher Jones, managing partner of BakerHostetler’s Atlanta office.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work again with many familiar colleagues, friends and clients as I join BakerHostetler,” Eingurt said. “There is a real sense of excitement around the firm and the Atlanta team, and I look forward to working with them to provide the best possible service for our clients.”

Eingurt earned his B.S. from Syracuse University and his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he received honors including the Order of the Coif and served as articles editor for the Emory Law Journal.
