Dentons, the global law firm, today named Edward H. Lindsey, Jr. partner in the Firm’s Public Policy and Regulation practice, effective July 15, 2016. He will be resident in Dentons’ Atlanta office and expands the Firm’s State Government Affairs practice in Georgia.
Lindsey has more than 32 years of legal, political and leadership experience, including ten years as a Georgia State Representative and three terms as the House Majority Whip. He also served on the House Appropriations, Judiciary, Education, Ways and Means and Rules Committees.
“Edward brings a keen understanding of the issues that arise at the intersection of business, politics and policy, and his unique insight will be of tremendous benefit to many of our clients,” said Eric Tanenblatt, co-leader of Dentons’ US Public Policy and Regulation practice. “His deep background in Georgia’s business and local communities coupled with his outstanding leadership are an excellent fit to lead and expand our Georgia State Government Affairs practice. We are fortunate to have Edward as a new member of our team and are confident that his experience will be a major asset to our clients and the Firm.”

“We look forward to Edward joining, as his talents complement Dentons’ commitment to serving clients on high-profile public policy matters across the US,” said Mike McNamara, Dentons US managing partner.
Lindsey will join shortly after the Firm announced the launch of Dentons 50, a full-service, 50-state public policy and advocacy network offering unrivaled reach and depth in state capitols across the nation for clients in all industry sectors. The Dentons 50 network is a comprehensive, centralized resource for businesses with complex, multi-state policy matters.
