Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Partner Vivian D. Hoard and Associates Brian Gardner, Gerika Kelly and Ashley Swan to the Taxation & Wealth Planning Department in the firm’s Atlanta office. The group joins Fox from Taylor English Duma LLP in Atlanta.

Hoard has extensive experience handling civil and criminal tax litigation, whistleblower claims and voluntary offshore disclosures. Her clients span a range of industries and include individuals, small and mid-sized businesses and their owners, publicly traded companies, professional athletes and their agents, entertainers, doctors, lawyers and accountants. Ranked by Chambers USA in Tax Law, Hoard earned her LL.M. in Taxation from Emory University and her J.D. and B.A. from the University of Georgia.
Gardner focuses his practice on federal, state and international tax controversy and tax planning matters, representing clients in IRS audits, appeals, refund claims and in U.S. Tax Court. He earned his LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University, his J.D. from Villanova University and his B.A. from Furman University.
Kelly represents a variety of clients, including individuals, corporations, and partnerships by responding to tax audits, filing requests for relief from collection activity, and litigating deficiency cases in the federal and state tribunals. Her experience in tax matters spans a wide variety of issues such as taxation of partnerships, charitable contribution deductions, hobby loss rules, passive loss limitations, and substantiation of corporate expenses. She earned her J.D. from Georgia State University and her B.S. from the University of Arizona.
Swan focuses her practice on federal and state tax controversy matters, representing clients in IRS audits, appeals and refund claims. She earned her J.D. from Georgia State University and her B.S., magna cum laude, from Kennesaw State University.
