Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is pleased to welcome new corporate and private equity attorney Aubrey Gibson, Jr. as shareholder in the firm’s Atlanta office. Gibson joins Polsinelli’s national Corporate and Transactional Practice. Gibson joins the firm from DLA Piper in Atlanta.
Gibson brings additional depth and continued momentum to both the firm’s Corporate and Transactional Practice and the growing Atlanta office. He focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, venture capital investments and financings, public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Gibson counsels public and private companies and private equity firms on domestic and international transactions and corporate matters. His experience also includes counseling public companies on securities law and stock exchange compliance and corporate governance.

Gibson brings valuable experience serving as outside general counsel for several private companies, private equity funds and family offices with regard to the day-to-day management of each business’s legal affairs. His background includes counseling public companies on securities law and stock exchange compliance and corporate governance.

Gibson joins Polsinelli’s Atlanta office during a period of growth. Earlier this month, the firm added a group of three Atlanta-based shareholders led by prominent employment attorney Angelo Spinola. Shareholder Matthew B. Norton joined the Atlanta office and national Real Estate Practice in the fall, prior to the arrivals of John Michael Kearns (Financial Services Litigation), Wendy Godfrey (Financial Services Litigation) all in 2020.

Gibson received an undergraduate degree at the University of South Carolina before obtaining a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami. He served as the Articles and Comments Editor for the University of Miami Business Law Review and the Articles Editor for the University of Miami Race and Social Justice Law Review.
