Squire Patton Boggs has bolstered its recently opened Atlanta office with the addition of partner Dara Mann, an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on class action, product liability and environmental disputes.
“I’ve seen Dara in action on previous client engagements, which is what makes her joining us so exciting,” said Atlanta office managing partner Ann-Marie McGaughey. “She is an exceptionally skilled lawyer who delivers first-rate client service. Dara also has a reputation for leading inclusion and diversity initiatives. Three of our four Atlanta partners are women and two are African-American, so this will remain a priority for us.”
The firm’s Atlanta office launched in February, and with the addition of Ms. Mann, now has four partners and nine total lawyers.
McGaughey continued, “We have hit the ground running since opening earlier this year, and continue to receive tremendous interest in the full service team with global capabilities we are building.”
Ms. Mann has functioned as national, strategic or coordinating counsel for various Fortune 200 corporations in a broad array of complex matters. Her experience includes product liability litigation involving automobiles, airplanes and machinery, as well as mass tort and consumer fraud actions involving pesticides, asbestos, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and tobacco products. During the course of her career, Ms. Mann has built a reputation for developing innovative strategies in high-stakes litigation cases in federal and state courts throughout out the country.
Commenting on her move, Ms. Mann said, “The more I learned about the firm’s extensive platform, cross-border litigation credentials and collaborative culture, the more appealing this move became. I’m excited to be joining the team.”
“In just a few short months our Atlanta office has exceeded expectations and the addition of Dara will expand the range of expertise in our core Atlanta bench,” said Steve Mahon, Squire Patton Boggs’ Global Managing Partner – Clients and Strategy.
Ms. Mann joins the firm from Dentons where she was a partner. She has been named a Georgia “Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation each year from 2015 to 2018. She is an active member of the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), including serving on the PLAC board of directors from 2011-2016. She is also a member of the Toxic Tort Committee of the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
