Squire Patton Boggs is pleased to announce that Yeshake (“Isaac”) Yilma has joined the firm’s Public and Infrastructure Finance Practice in Atlanta as principal. He arrives from Hunton Andrews Kurth where his practice involved a broad range of public finance transactions.
Bob Labes, who is Group Leader of the Public and Infrastructure Finance Practice, commented, “Isaac’s arrival expands our on-the-ground presence in the Southeast and complements our firm’s historic, national public finance commitment to the development and financing of public infrastructure. We are delighted to add a practitioner of his caliber to our team at such a critical and promising time of renewal for our nation’s infrastructure.”
Mr. Yilma serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel and underwriters’ counsel in connection with a broad range of publicly offered and privately placed tax-exempt and taxable financings for local governments, airports, water and sewer systems, tax increment/special assessment districts, sports facilities, colleges and universities, and multifamily housing facilities.
He has served as bond counsel to some of the largest and most notable tax-exempt financings in Georgia. He also counsels local governments and private companies in connection with economic development incentives packages for new business investments and expansion projects.
“Squire Patton Boggs’ leading reputation in infrastructure finance and its unparalleled global platform make this an ideal place to further my practice and play a role in the advancement of the firm’s capabilities across the Southeast. I am excited to collaborate with my new colleagues both here in Atlanta and around the world,” said Mr. Yilma.
