Gary Marsh, a restructuring attorney with notable industry recognition and substantial experience, has joined Troutman Sanders LLP as a partner in the national law firm’s Finance and Restructuring practice in Atlanta. He joins from Dentons where he previously co-chaired the firm’s U.S. Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice.
Marsh focuses on all aspects of bankruptcy, workouts, debtor and creditor law, and general commercial litigation. He represents debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, out-of-court restructurings and litigation and advises court-appointed receivers, examiners and trustees.
“Gary is highly regarded for his work in bankruptcy law and has extensive experience in representing debtors and creditors in and out of bankruptcy court,” said Partner Harris Winsberg, practice group leader of Troutman Sanders’ Finance and Restructuring practice. “He has particular experience in healthcare, energy and real estate insolvencies and is a strong addition to our practice.”
Marsh is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy Attorneys, an adjunct professor at Emory University, and is board certified in business bankruptcy and creditor’s rights by the American Board of Certification. He also serves in various positions with the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Board of Certification, Southeastern Bankruptcy Law Institute, Lamar Inn of Court at Emory University and Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers and Georgia Trend, among other ranking authorities.
