A team of Haynes and Boone, LLP attorneys from four offices advised Panda Power Funds on the completion of secured financing to develop a natural gas-fired power plant in Temple, Texas. This generation will be important to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) power region in adding much-needed new capacity as a result of rapidly declining reserve margins.
According to the private equity firm’s announcement, the power plant will eventually supply power to 750,000 homes in central and north Texas with commercial operations targeted by 2014.
