Husch Blackwell continues its strategic national growth efforts with the addition of energy partner Carrie Collier-Brown. She joins from Locke Lord where she was a partner.
Based in Austin, Texas, Collier-Brown focuses her practice on energy regulation and administrative litigation in the Texas energy market, including before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and ERCOT. She advises clients in agency proceedings, corporate transactions, and civil litigation.
“Texas leads the nation in energy production and there is a tremendous need for talented attorneys to help serve our clients. Carrie is a top-caliber attorney with an impressive reputation in the market and makes a wonderful addition to our growing team,” said Anna Kimbrell, partner and leader of Husch Blackwell’s Energy & Natural Resources industry group. “She adds significant depth to our bench, and we’re thrilled she’s joined Husch Blackwell.”
Collier-Brown’s key areas of practice include development of behind-the-meter/private use network projects, Texas electric market policy and regulatory advice, as well as assisting with the project development, financing, and acquisition and divestiture of generation projects in Texas.
“Husch Blackwell is one of the preeminent energy firms in the United States, and its deep bench will greatly benefit my clients,” Collier-Brown said. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with or across from the team in Texas for many years, and I’m excited to call them colleagues.”
Husch Blackwell added 16 energy attorneys to its ranks in 2023. Earlier this year, Husch Blackwell expanded its energy and environmental practice with two partners in Madison, Wisconsin.
