Sean D. Jordan to Co-Manage Sutherland Asbill & Brennan’s Austin Appellate Practice

Sutherland Asbill & Brennan has hired Sean D. Jordan to a fill an Austin legal job in the firm’s office in the state capital, according to a press release.

Formerly the principal Deputy Solicitor General in the Office of the Attorney General of the Lone Star State, Jordan moves into a partner position and will be one of two leaders of the appellate practice of the law firm.

Paul R. Bessette and Michael J. Biles Join King & Spalding in Austin

Litigators Paul R. Bessette and Michael J. Biles have joined King & Spalding as partners in the Austin office, the firm announced today. Both possess significant expertise in securities litigation and related government investigations, and come to the firm from Greenberg Traurig. Bessette will serve as co-chair of King & Spalding’s national securities litigation practice, a role he also played at his previous firm.

Constangy, Brooks & Smith’s Austin Office Expands

The Austin office of national labor and employment law firm Constangy Brooks & Smith, LLP is pleased to announce that it is expanding with the addition of partner Scott Agthe and associate Amy Ybarra.  Both were most recently with the Agthe Law Firm, P.C.  The pair will officially join Constangy when the Austin office relocates on February 13 to its new location at 8911 Capital of Texas Highway, Ste. 3350, Austin, TX 78759. The Austin office, opened in 2003, is headed by partner Mark Flora.
