Linklaters Boosts China Corporate Practice with Partner Hire

Linklaters today announces that Pui Hong Chik has been elected a partner in its China corporate practice with effect from 8 October 2012. Pui Hong Chik joins from Baker & Mackenzie where he has been a partner since 2007.

Pui Hong Chik will be based in Beijing and brings substantial experience in the China market. He has an established reputation, most recently focusing on IPOs and secondary offerings of H share companies and PRC enterprises, as well as Hong Kong listed SOE compliance work.

The addition of Pui Hong Chik is part of the continued build up of the firm’s Beijing presence. It follows the election in May of two new partners, Judie Ng Shortell and Annabella Fu, in Beijing’s corporate practice, the recent appointment of senior counsel Fay Zhou to the Beijing competition practice as well as the relocation earlier this year of Peter Goes, a senior corporate partner from the Amsterdam office. These moves combined, demonstrate Linklaters’ commitment in Greater China to building a breadth of market leading expertise across different practice areas.

Stuart Salt, Linklaters regional managing partner for Asia, said:

“We are delighted that Pui Hong has agreed to join us. His experience in corporate finance, securities regulation and general corporate work will be enormously valuable to us in fulfilling our plans to develop still further our capability to service the needs of our clients in Greater China.”
