Davis Polk is advising Unitas Capital Pte. Ltd. on its proposed acquisition of a majority-stake equity interest in Shenzhen ZTE NetView Technology Co., Ltd. (ZNV), an indirect subsidiary of ZTE Corporation. The definitive agreements were entered into on December 28, 2012, and the transaction is expected to close in January 2013.
Unitas is a private equity firm with a focus on buyouts and growth equity investments into medium-to-large-size market leading companies in the branded consumer, retail and industrial sectors. ZNV is a technology company based in Shenzhen that offers products and services that relate primarily to network-based surveillance and monitoring systems. ZNV was founded in 2005 as a spinoff of ZTE’s surveillance systems division. ZTE has been listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong respectively since 1997 and 2004.
