The venture capital and M&A expert will move to the international law firm’s Berlin office and join the team of Norman Röchert, Co-Head of the international industry group Technology, Media & Communications, and Jens Wolf, Head of the firm’s German venture capital practice. Armin Bartsch joins Taylor Wessing from the business law firm Noerr, where he worked as lawyer since 2013 and as Associated Partner since 2019 in the areas of venture capital and M&A.
Armin Bartsch is advising on venture capital and M&A transactions with a particular focus on financing rounds, exits/buy-outs as well as the establishment and expansion of digital business models through company builders.
“With Armin Bartsch, Taylor Wessing gains a highly qualified expert in venture capital and (tech) M&A who will also strengthen our practice in the growing segment of advising corporates on their investments in start-ups and digital business models,” said Jens Wolf, head of Taylor Wessing’s German venture capital practice.
“Our corporate technology practice continues to grow steadily, also at the Berlin office. We are very pleased to have gained Armin Bartsch, an experienced expert in the areas of venture capital and (tech) M&A. With his further practice focus on company building and corporate venture capital, he will also cover areas at Taylor Wessing that will become increasingly important in the future,” said Norman Röchert, Co-Head of Taylor Wessing’s international industry group Technologies, Media & Communications.
“I am very pleased to be part of Taylor Wessing’s venture capital practice – one of Germany’s market-leading practices – from now on. The practice’s outstanding and long-standing track record, most recently demonstrated for example by the firm’s participation in ten of the 20 largest financing rounds in Germany by investment volume, speaks for Taylor Wessing’s particular position in the German venture capital market. The strength of the practice in the areas of financing rounds and corporate technology as well as the position as full-service law firm with tech focus offer me the ideal environment to further expand my advisory focus,” says Armin Bartsch.
