Baker Donelson Adds Global Business Attorney Alan Enslen

Alan Enslen has joined Baker Donelson’s Birmingham office as a member of the Firm’s Global Business Team focusing on international trade and national security matters. Doreen Edelman, co-chair of Baker Donelson’s Global Business Team, said “Alan brings a wealth of experience including international trade, government contracting and national security, which further enhances the capabilities of our global team in serving our clients both domestic and abroad.”

Mr. Enslen joins the Firm as a shareholder and focuses his practice on international trade strategies, government investigations and regulatory enforcement, and global dispute resolution in both commercial and defense sectors. He represents clients in all facets of international trade including export controls, economic and trade sanctions, customs/import controls, global anti-corruption compliance, foreign direct investment/CFIUS reviews, operational support and global projects, and foreign market access strategies for companies pursuing global business. Additionally, Mr. Enslen assists clients with internal and government investigations of trade-related matters, international trade litigation matters (AD/CVD), and also represents former military personnel before the U.S. Department of Defense and other government agencies.

A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, Mr. Enslen received his master of laws in International Trade from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the American, Alabama, District of Columbia and Birmingham Bar Associations, and serves on the Alabama District Export Council and the Birmingham Business Alliance International Trade Council, and is active in the North Alabama International Trade Association. Mr. Enslen previously served 28 years as an officer in the United States Army special operations forces.
