Gowling WLG has welcomed a new partner, Sarah Riding, to its growing Commercial team in Birmingham. Prior to joining the firm, she was head of Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham Commercial team, where she played a key role in developing the national commercial practice.
With more than 17 years of post-qualification experience both in-house and in private practice, Sarah is an accomplished commercial lawyer and advises on a range of deal-driven commercial arrangements. This includes supply chain management, routes to market and outsourcing, together with more niche areas including sport.
Sarah said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Commercial team at Gowling WLG and helping to further its growth in Birmingham. The team is already renowned for its work in the Midlands region, which has been my area of focus for the past 17 years, and I’m looking forward to helping continue to build on this.”
David Lowe, partner and head of Commercial Contracts at Gowling WLG, said: “Sarah brings a wealth of experience and expertise with her to our growing Commercial team and will be instrumental in helping to further develop our service. The team has a substantial client base that needs us more than ever before during such extraordinary times, so the continued development of the firm’s commercial offering is increasingly important as we help them to navigate this situation.”
Gowling WLG is an international law firm with more than 1,400 legal professionals and a presence in Canada, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America.
