Well-known Colombian disputes lawyer Alberto Zuleta has joined Holland & Knight’s Bogotá office as a partner and head of its local dispute resolution practice. Mr. Zuleta was previously a partner with Dentons/Cardenas & Cardenas.
“Alberto is a highly-regarded and versatile lawyer who will significantly enhance our office’s litigation capabilities,” said Enrique Gomez-Pinzón, executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Bogotá office. “We have seen a large increase in litigation work, especially in the areas of commercial, contracts and tort matters. We expect Alberto to contribute greatly to the success of these matters and help lead our team going forward.”
Mr. Zuleta has over 20 years of experience in the areas of litigation, arbitration and antitrust law. His in-depth litigation experience includes proceedings with Colombian courts at all levels, while his extensive record of accomplishment in arbitration includes domestic and cross-border proceedings under the ICC and UNCITRAL rules. Mr. Zuleta’s competition experience includes antitrust investigations and litigation proceedings before the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, unfair trade practices and pre-merger reviews.

Mr. Zuleta is recognized as a top lawyer in the areas of dispute resolution and competition/antitrust by the Chambers Latin America and Chambers Global guides. He is also recommended by Legal 500 Latin America in the area of dispute resolution.
Mr. Zuleta received a J.D. degree from Universidad de los Andes, a graduate degree in International Contracts from the same university and an L.L.M. degree from Harvard Law School. He is fluent in Spanish and English.
