Gordon & Rees LLP has expanded its Boston office, which opened in May 2015, with the addition of a three partner group from LeClairRyan. Jay S. Gregory, James L. Messenger, and Margaret R. Stolfa joined the firm on July 1, 2015.

Gregory focuses his practice on construction defect litigation and the defense of malpractice actions brought against professionals, including architects, engineers, surveyors, real estate brokers, appraisers and attorneys.
Messenger’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in areas such as intellectual property, business transactions, shareholder disputes and breach of fiduciary duty claims, environmental and bankruptcy matters. He regularly acts as lead outside counsel to energy and utility companies on infrastructure projects.
Stolfa, the former General Counsel of the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, focuses her practice on environmental law, regulation and policy development. She represents clients in administrative matters including regulatory interpretation and compliance, strategic permitting and licensing, enforcement and adjudication.
