DLA Piper announced today that Jonathan Sablone has joined the firm’s Litigation practice as a partner in the Boston office. Sablone joins from Nixon Peabody, where he led the firm’s Private Fund Disputes practice and chaired the eDiscovery and Digital Evidence practice.
Sablone focuses on financial services litigation involving investment funds and disputes between or among alternative asset funds and investors in those funds. In these matters, he represents off-shore liquidators, managers, limited partners and institutional investors related to hedge, private equity, venture and real estate funds, as well as investment vehicles consisting of alternative asset classes such as residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities, credit default swaps and collateralized debt obligations.
“Jon’s extensive experience handling investment and fund-related litigation matters greatly enhances our financial services litigation practice and will support the recent growth of our private funds capabilities,” said James Brogan, US co-chair of DLA Piper’s Litigation practice. “His skillset complements our global platform and adds significantly to our capabilities, particularly in the area of e-discovery and digital evidence.”

Sablone received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his A.B. from Harvard College.
