Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. is expanding its Real Estate Section with the addition of Rebecca A. Lee. Formerly a Partner at Locke Lord LLP, Ms. Lee joins as a Member based in Boston.
Ms. Lee has a broad real estate practice in which she represents corporations, developers, lenders, and nonprofit organizations in financing, leasing, procuring entitlements, condominium creation and dispositions, and site acquisitions and assemblages. She has a particular focus on development permitting and land use, principally in the Greater Boston area.
“Rebecca’s background and deep experience with development permitting and land use will further enhance our ability to counsel clients on these issues, particularly in the Greater Boston area,” said Daniel O. Gaquin, Co-chair of Mintz Levin’s Real Estate Section. “She is an excellent addition to our team and we are delighted to welcome her to the firm.”
Previously, Ms. Lee was the chief of staff and special counsel to the director of the Boston Redevelopment Authority. She acted as the COO and held the responsibility for organizing policy development, overseeing development reviews, negotiating acquisitions, disposition, and financing transactions.
Ms. Lee has been recognized by Chambers USA as a leader in her field annually since 2007.
She was honored with the Legacy Award at the 2014 Advancing Women event, held by the Boston Business Journal. Ms. Lee was also presented with the Founders Award by the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. She received her J.D. from Yale University and holds a M.P.A from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a B.A., cum laude, from Brandeis University.
