Polsinelli welcomes 44 highly experienced attorneys from the intellectual property boutique Novak Druce. These attorneys will combine their experience and talents with Polsinelli’s existing 57 Intellectual Property and 20 Intellectual Property Litigation attorneys, meeting the growing demand for Intellectual Property and Litigation work. The strategic combination of attorneys from the two firms’ practices positions Polsinelli’s IP practice among the country’s largest, at a total of more than 120 attorneys.
Polsinelli is also expanding its geographic footprint with the addition of two new offices in Houston and Boston. In total, 75 new employees will join Polsinelli.

Those joining Polsinelli include Novak Druce named partners Greg Novak and Tracy Druce, and will handle a variety of complex IP matters across an array of industries, including engineering, life sciences, software and medical devices, as well as further support the firm’s already strong generic pharmaceutical, start-up and high tech client base. This move results in an IP and IP Litigation group that spans the full range of legal services that clients require, in addition to further expanding the team’s geographic footprint.

Polsinelli and Novak Druce serve similar national clients, providing sophisticated counsel on complex IP matters. This deal provides a broad platform for both firms to meet the demand of their respective client bases.

Novak and Druce, together with Polsinelli Science and Technology Practice Chair Patrick Woolley, will team up to lead one of the nation’s largest and deep intellectual property groups.
Polsinelli’s new office located in downtown Houston will increase the firm’s presence in Texas beyond the existing Dallas location. Fourteen of the new attorneys will office in Houston. Polsinelli will grow its capabilities with a new Boston office to serve the region’s thriving biotech, medical device and health care needs. The addition of these new offices expands the firm’s national footprint to 19 cities.
With over 120 attorneys, as well as 12 patent agents and scientists, Polsinelli has now grown its IP/IP Litigation practice to become one of the largest in the country. The firm was recently named one of four IP Litigation Powerhouses in the 2016 BTI Litigation Outlook report, based on interviews with more than 300 general counsel at companies with over $1B revenue.
