Global law firm K&L Gates continues to bolster its Brisbane office with the appointment of real estate partner Chris Wille. Wille joins K&L Gates from Holding Redlich.
Wille advises major institutional property investors and developers on the various aspects of commercial, retail, and residential property, including due diligences, acquisitions, disposals, development, and leasing. He has worked on some of the largest property transactions in Australia, including many of Brisbane’s highest-profile CBD transactions.
Wille stated: “We have seen a wave of inbound investment in southeast Queensland which I think will continue for some time. With demand from Asia spurred on by a lower Australian dollar, it makes sense for me to continue to build my practice at K&L Gates, a firm with a fully integrated platform that includes 11 offices across the Asia Pacific region.”

Wille’s appointment follows the recent addition of several other partners to the firm’s Australian offices, including corporate partners Philip Vickery and Jeremy Prentice, real estate partner Brian Healey, and labor, employment and workplace safety partner Paul Hardman in Brisbane, along with corporate and transactional partners Nick Humphrey, Hal Lloyd, and Daniel Atkin, intellectual property partner Naomi Pearce Coates, and real estate partner Diane Skapinker in the firm’s Sydney office.
