The Charlotte office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP has added Emily B. Reynolds as a partner in the real estate investment, development, and finance practice. She joins K&L Gates from Moore & Van Allen PLLC.
Reynolds advises developers, lenders, and investors in a variety of complex real estate matters, including the acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and sale of commercial properties, as well as in joint ventures, private placements, recapitalizations, and Section 1031 property exchanges under the Internal Revenue Code.
Her experience includes representing real estate developers in a variety of debt and equity transactions; structuring real estate joint ventures; advising corporations with respect to headquarters relocations; structuring renewable energy real estate transactions; advising lending institutions regarding real estate owned portfolios; negotiating complex commercial leases for an international investment fund; and preparing development agreements, restrictive covenants, and other financing, leasing, and corporate documentation.
