Seasoned Real Estate Finance Attorney Ginger Rolfes Returns to Nelson Mullins

Real estate finance attorney Virginia Bailey “Ginger” Rolfes has returned to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP as a partner in the Charlotte office. She most recently was a special counsel at Katten.

Rolfes has more than 15 years of experience in commercial lending, asset management, finance, leasing, and general real estate matters. She regularly represents banks and other lending institutions making loans on commercial properties such as office developments, retail centers, hotels, and manufactured housing complexes, among others.

“We are excited to welcome Ginger back to the firm,” said Jonathan Nugent, who leads the Capital Markets Group. “Her experience and knowledge in the real estate finance area will benefit both our team and clients.”

Rolfes has experience in originating commercial real estate loans that are securitized and sold on the bond market. She also advises asset management teams in the servicing and modification of loans, represents clients in the negotiation of leases, and represents regional developers in the purchase and sale of commercial properties.

She earned her JD from Wake Forest University School of Law, her MA from the University of South Carolina, and a BA from The University of the South. Before joining Katten, she was an associate in Nelson Mullins’ Capital Markets Group.
