Dentons, the global law firm, today named Daniel B. Lange as partner in the Firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice.
Based in Chicago, Lange’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and stock ownership plans, counseling buyers, sellers, management and lenders in the context of corporate transactions, including restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, as well as transactions involving company stock held by employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He regularly represents companies and employees in structuring and implementing executive compensation packages, in addition to broad-based equity and incentive compensation arrangements.
“Daniel’s exceptionally broad base of experience will strengthen our employee benefits and executive compensation practice area, further expanding the range of services we offer our clients,” said Mike McNamara, US managing partner for Dentons.
In addition to his transactional experience, Lange brings particular depth in the area of severance programs and tax-qualified retirement plans, advising clients on Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor correction programs for plans with documentary or operational defects.
Prior to joining Dentons, Lange was a partner in private practice and regularly contributed to tax-related advisories and newsletters on the subject of employee benefits and executive compensation.
Lange holds a JD from Washington University School of Law and a BA from The Jewish Theological Seminary.
