Eversheds Sutherland’s Chicago Growth Continues With Addition of M&A Partner Craig Alcorn

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that Craig T. Alcorn has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group as a partner in the Chicago office. Mr. Alcorn’s arrival comes on the heels of the firm opening a San Francisco Office in March with Corporate Partner Baird D. Fogel, underscoring Eversheds Sutherland’s focus on growth in the corporate and M&A space. Mr. Alcorn joins the firm from Skadden in Chicago.

“We are excited to welcome Craig to the firm as we continue to grow our global Corporate and M&A Practice,” said Mark D. Wasserman, Co-CEO of Eversheds Sutherland. “Chicago has been a key growth location for us, and our M&A team there has firmly established itself in the market for both US and cross-border deals. Craig’s expansive practice will fit well into the global M&A platform we offer our clients and will continue to solidify our Chicago office as a destination for high-profile deals.”

Mr. Alcorn advises companies on a wide range of domestic and cross-border matters, including complex mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance matters, securities offerings and securities law matters. He frequently counsels clients across a wide variety of industries, including energy, healthcare, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, retail and foodservice.

“Craig is an accomplished corporate and M&A attorney with a proven track record of complex, substantial deals,” said Partner Robert J. Pile, Global Co-Lead of Eversheds Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group. “He has extensive experience with public company M&A and public securities matters, in addition to broad-based M&A experience, adding even more firepower to our team in Chicago.”
