Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani welcomes John R. Joyce as a partner in the Chicago office. Joyce joins the firm in the Business Transaction and Real Estate practice groups. Joyce was previously with Roetzel & Andress in the firm’s Chicago office.

With a focus on real estate transactions and solving complex real estate problems, Joyce represents developers through acquisition, financing, construction and final disposition of development projects. He is very familiar with all aspects of the development process, including land use, environmental and tax issues. Joyce is also experienced in all types of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, residential and commercial development, condominium conversions, zoning, leasing, loan documentation and loan workout.
Joyce is licensed to practice in Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Joyce is recognized as an Illinois “Leading Lawyer” in Land Use, Zoning & Condemnation Law, Real Estate Law, Commercial, and Real Estate Law: Finance.
Joyce is a member of the Chicago Bar Association (Real Property Committee), the Illinois State Bar Association (Real Estate Law and Corporate Law Sections), the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is an advisory board member of the Roosevelt University Marshal Bennett Institute of Real Estate.
