The global law firm Jones Day has announced that Erik Lundgren has joined the Firm’s Chicago Office as a partner in its Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice.
Mr. Lundgren has extensive experience representing companies regarding all aspects of executive and director compensation. He has advised numerous Fortune 500 and other companies in a variety of industries and markets.
“As executive compensation and related issues continue to face a high level of scrutiny—from shareholders and shareholder advisors, from the government, and from the media—lawyers with Erik’s background and abilities are especially valuable to our clients,” said Dan Hagen, co-leader of Jones Day’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice. “Erik is a great addition to an already strong practice, and we look forward to his insights and contributions.”
Mr. Lundgren has extensive experience advising clients in the securities law and corporate governance aspects of executive compensation, including public disclosure and proxy statement requirements, equity and incentive compensation issues, Section 16 issues, stock exchange requirements, and ISS and other proxy advisor policies. He has also represented issuers and underwriters in connection with several initial public offerings.
“Erik’s public company and executive compensation experience will complement that of our robust employee benefits team in Chicago and be of great benefit to our clients,” said Tina M. Tabacchi, Partner-in-Charge of Jones Day’s Chicago Office. “We are delighted to welcome Erik to the Firm.”
Mr. Lundgren is a frequent speaker and writer on executive compensation, securities law, and corporate governance topics, and has lectured at the Northwestern University School of Law and Loyola University Chicago School of Law
