Lewis Brisbois is pleased to announce the addition of Blair Dawson to its Chicago, Illinois office as a partner in its Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. Ms. Dawson brings to Lewis Brisbois two decades of experience in international insurance law coverage and litigation, as well as claims management, particularly in the London market. She also has extensive in-house experience, which included responsibility for information security matters. Ms. Dawson joins Lewis Brisbois from Acrisure, LLC, one of the largest international insurance brokers in the world.
In her previous role as senior vice president and general counsel, she developed and oversaw the company’s complex insurance program, implementing cyber incident response policies and protocols, overseeing risk management, engaging in insurance program negotiations, managing litigated and non-litigated claims, providing client training to mitigate risk, and resolving insurance coverage disputes.

Ms. Dawson has been a member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) for many years and has published several articles for insurance industry publications.
In addition to her professional work, Ms. Dawson volunteers with community organizations, serving as a board member for the Crooked Lake Improvement Committee, a member of the Wrightwood Neighbors Association, and as a monitor for the EPA Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program. A graduate of Marquette University and the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Ms. Dawson is admitted to practice in Illinois.
