Dickinson Wright is pleased to announce that Mark Ryerson and Joseph Silvia have joined the firm’s Chicago office as Members. The duo arrive to the firm from Howard & Howard in Chicago.
Mark Ryerson primarily represents companies in M&A transactions, both in the financial sector and across a number of other industries. He also handles equity, debt, sub-debt, SAFE and convertible debt securities offerings on behalf of start-up and established issuers, institutional investors and placement agents. In addition, Mark regularly counsels both private equity and strategic clients on a variety of general corporate matters. He received his B.A. from Marquette University and his J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law.
Joseph Silvia advises financial institutions and corporate clients on general corporate matters, mergers, acquisitions, strategic transactions, private equity and venture capital investments, and banking and financial services regulation. He previously served as counsel to the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Joe is an Advisory Board Member, Institute for Compliance for the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law where he is an adjunct professor of law. Joe received his B.A. from Miami University, his J.D. and LL.M. in Financial Services Law from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law, and his LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School.
