Mayer Brown announced today that leading private investment funds lawyer Kristin Rice-Gonzalez has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in its Private Funds Group. Ms. Rice-Gonzalez joins from Baker & McKenzie LLP.

Ms. Rice-Gonzalez has extensive experience advising clients on alternative investment fund matters, including the structuring and formation of international and domestic private investment funds, with an emphasis on real estate private equity funds, fund-of-funds and secondary transactions. Ms. Rice-Gonzalez also advises clients in connection with their investment activities and legal issues, including issues concerning FINRA regulations, the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
