Faegre Drinker announced today that Paul Patrow has rejoined the firm as a partner in the corporate practice in Chicago. Patrow returns to the firm from Kirkland & Ellis and was formerly with Faegre Baker Daniels from 2016 to 2019.

King & Spalding announced today that Geoffrey M. King has joined the firm’s Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) practice group as a partner. He is based in the Chicago office. King joins the firm from Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where he was a partner.
Matthew Petersen and Morley Fortier III, two highly regarded mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity attorneys in Chicago, have joined Holland & Knight as partners. Mr. Petersen will serve as head of the Chicago Corporate, M&A and Private Equity practice. He and Mr. Fortier join the firm from Reed Smith, where Mr. Petersen served as managing partner of the Chicago office and in 2019-2020 served as the vice chair of the Business & Finance Department. Prior to acting as vice chair, Mr. Petersen served as practice group leader for the U.S. Corporate practice group.

Katten announced today that Emily K. Watson has joined as a partner in the Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity practice in Chicago, building on the deep bench of experienced and skilled attorneys structuring and closing middle-market deals. Prior to joining Katten, Watson was a partner in the corporate group at Levenfeld Pearlstein and a corporate transactions and private equity partner at McDermott Will & Emery where she spent the majority of her legal career.
Paul R. Hogan, a highly regarded mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity attorney in Chicago, has joined Holland & Knight as a partner. He was previously with Eversheds Sutherland and, prior to that, served as secretary and general counsel of a publicly traded holding company. Mr. Hogan joins the firm shortly after the arrival of a nationally recognized team of nine energy-focused partners, also from Eversheds, who are located in Atlanta, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C.
