Reed Smith today announced that Jason Levin has joined the firm’s Global Corporate Group as a partner in Chicago. A partner with almost 40 years of experience, Levin has a broad corporate practice with a special focus on transactions and divestures of businesses and intellectual property. Levin was previously a partner with DLA Piper.
With a significant client base in manufacturing and industrials, Levin advises on mergers and acquisitions, the formation of joint ventures and strategic alliances, and general corporate and commercial law. He also advises directors and shareholders of privately and publicly held companies, and on the licensing and development of IP.

Levin has held two director positions, at Capri Corp., a software development company, and at Strube Celery & Vegetable Co., one of the largest distributors of fresh fruits and vegetables in the Midwest.
