Sara A. Weinberg Joins Dinsmore’s Chicago Office

Dinsmore & Shohl continues to make strategic moves to grow its Chicago office by welcoming Sara A. Weinberg to the firm. Weinberg will practice out of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department, expanding that location into a new service area.

In the year since Dinsmore gained the Chicago office through the Peck, Shaffer & Williams merger, it has experienced rapid growth adding 12 attorneys to that location and enhanced the services offered.

“Sara is a great addition to our office. Bringing an attorney on board who focuses on employment issues opens new channels of service that we can now offer our clients, said Robert “Bobby” Lucas, Chicago Office Managing Partner. “My goal has always been to look for the attorneys who expand the breadth and depth of our practice. That way we are staying aligned with our clients’ needs while we grow.”

Weinberg comes to Dinsmore from Jackson Lewis P.C. where she spent more than a decade focusing on employment law advising on workplace law issues. Weinberg has significant experience litigating a broad spectrum of employment matters including claims of discrimination, harassment, failure to accommodate, and retaliatory discharge. Weinberg’s practice also covers ERISA litigation including denial of health benefits claims, executive compensation claims, retirement benefit disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) litigation. She successfully argued a denial of benefits claim before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Weinberg earned her J.D. from the Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law and received her B.A. from Tulane University.
