Global law firm White & Case LLP is continuing the expansion of its Global Commercial Litigation Practice with the addition of Brienne Letourneau as a partner in Chicago. Letourneau arrives from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP.
“Brienne is a top-flight litigator with a long track record of delivering successful results in high-stakes cases for major companies,” said Glenn Kurtz, Head of White & Case’s Commercial Litigation Practice. “Her arrival is synergistic with our practice, focusing on litigation related to fiduciary duties in the corporate governance and asset management spaces, class action defense and business torts.”
Letourneau represents businesses, institutions and individuals in their most complex and important matters. Her significant litigation experience extends to a variety of substantive areas, including fiduciary litigation (corporate governance disputes, asset management claims and director and officer liability), class actions, contract disputes, business torts and professional liability. She has represented a wide array of public and private companies, including leading wealth management and financial services companies, and multinational consumer-facing businesses, as well as individual directors, officers, and fiduciaries and prominent higher-education institutions.
“Brienne’s addition reflects the Firm’s commitment to growing its Commercial Litigation Practice in general and specifically in Chicago-a tremendous market for litigation,” said Jim Robinson, White & Case’s Regional Section Head of Americas Commercial Litigation. “Brienne is a talented and vigorous advocate for her clients, and we’re excited for her to join the team.”
Letourneau’s arrival marks the fourth new lateral partner to join White & Case’s Global Commercial Litigation Practice this year, with Sean Gorman, Chris Dodson and Andrew Zeve having joined the Firm’s Houston office in January 2023.
