Global law firm White & Case LLP has added Andrew O’Neill to the Firm’s Financial Restructuring and Insolvency (FRI) Practice in Chicago. This move marks the fourth new FRI partner to join White & Case in the US this month, further expanding the Firm’s company-side capabilities and depth in financial restructuring. O’Neill joins the Firm along with counsel Matt Linder from Sidley Austin, following the additions of Boelter, Guzina and Andolina on October 1.
“We are thrilled to bring Andrew in as a member of our rapidly growing restructuring team,” said Thomas Lauria, Global Head of White & Case’s Global FRI Practice. “Andrew is a highly accomplished restructuring attorney who has led several company-side restructurings. His addition further advances our strategy to expand our company and sponsor-side work in the restructuring arena. He will work closely with our new team of FRI partners, Jessica Boelter, Bojan Guzina and Michael Andolina and reinforces our commitment to continue adding top talent.”
O’Neill’s practice focuses on complex corporate restructurings and reorganizations, both in-court and out-of-court, as well as other distressed situations. He has extensive experience representing debtors, senior lenders, unsecured creditors, purchasers of assets and other interested parties in these matters.
“Adding Andrew is an important next step in our plan to continue building out and expanding our on-the-ground capabilities in Chicago and to provide cross-disciplinary expertise in financial restructuring, M&A, financing and litigation,” said Eugene Leone, Executive Partner of White & Case’s Chicago office. “He is the fourth lateral partner to join our growing Chicago office this year.”
