Dinsmore & Shohl LLP has expanded its employment practice with the addition of Tammy R. Bennett to the firm. A partner of counsel in the Cincinnati office, Bennett brings years of employment law experience, including a decade as in-house counsel at Macy’s, Inc.
Bennett specializes in providing practical advice and training in the area of leave management, including the FMLA and ADAAA, wage and hour, talent acquisition, diversity, conflict resolution, leadership development and human resources management. She consults on emerging HR issues, such as the multi-generational workplace, LGBTQ workplace trends, social media and the application of design thinking to traditional HR functions and practices. She began her legal career with Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease, LLC as an associate in the Labor and Employment group.

Prior to joining Dinsmore, Bennett was association counsel and director of compliance services for the Employers Resources Association. In addition to developing practical HR policies and procedures, training, workshops and compliance audits, she led membership networking events, including monthly Legal Breakfast Briefings and an annual Employment Law Symposium.
Bennett earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law.
