Ulmer & Berne LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Shana Ortiz See as a Partner in the firm’s highly respected and nationally ranked Product Liability Practice Group. See joins Ulmer’s Columbus office where she will continue her practice focusing on the defense of complex product liability matters across the country.
See is an accomplished litigator with deep experience as national counsel representing manufacturers in cases involving traditional product liability and consumer claims. She has served as national coordinating counsel and defended complex cases involving breach of warranty, lemon law, indemnification, and product and structural fires. She has served as first chair in numerous bench and jury trials across Ohio and other states. In addition to product liability cases, See has experience defending managed care plans in provider claims and contract disputes, including arbitrations, tax controversies, and other commercial litigation matters. She is admitted to practice in Ohio, Illinois, and before the U.S. Tax Court.

See is involved with several professional organizations, including the Hispanic National, Ohio Women’s, and Columbus Bar Associations, as well as The Alumni Society, a private network of Latino leaders who graduated from the nation’s top universities. She earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Kenyon College, her J.D. from Duke University School of Law, and her LL.M. in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law.
Serving as counsel to numerous companies in the bioscience, pharmaceutical, medical device, and dietary supplement industries, See joins Ulmer’s Product Liability Practice Group attorneys who are recognized leaders in their industry. Successfully managing matters that are complex, both legally and scientifically, the group’s unique and comprehensive approach to addressing clients’ needs has contributed to Ulmer’s Litigation Department continuously receiving honors from Chambers USA and Benchmark Litigation’s “Ohio Firm of the Year” award.
