Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Tracie Childs as a shareholder in the firm’s Orange County office. Childs joins Ogletree Deakins from Manning & Kass in San Diego, where she was a partner and handled a broad range of labor and employment matters.
Childs focuses her practice on labor and employment issues for private employers, public, and quasi-public entities. She has litigated matters from inception to verdict, and has jury trial experience in wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, breach of employment contract, whistleblower, qui tam/False Claims Act, wage and hour class actions, and the Private Attorneys General Act. In addition, she speaks regularly on employment law topics for the benefit of employers. Her practice also includes counseling of employers regarding employment practices, including terminations, leave issues, wage and hour disputes, discrimination, and Americans with Disabilities Act and Fair Employment and Housing Act claims, among others.

Childs earned her undergraduate degree from the University of San Diego with a BA in political science. At the University of San Diego, she was captain of the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming Team, and received an All American Scholar Athlete Award. Childs received her JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
