More than 20 attorneys are joining international law firm Winston & Strawn to fulfill New York legal jobs, Washington legal jobs and London legal jobs, among other locales, according to a press release.
Twenty-two litigation partners, one energy partner and numerous associates will help propel the firm’s drive toward widening the scope of its global litigation work and transactional footprint.
Many of the newly hired attorneys come from legal recruiting efforts directed toward Dewey & LeBoeuf.
“These are extremely high-quality practitioners,” chairman Dan K. Webb with Winston & Strawn said. “The synergies with our existing litigation and transactional practices provide tremendous opportunities for them and for us.”
Seventeen litigation partners are joining the firm’s offices in New York, including Jeffrey Kessler, an influential trial attorney and head of global litigation. Antitrust and international cartel expert A. Paul Victor also is coming aboard.
The past five years have seen Winston & Strawn augment its strength in Beijing, Charlotte, Hong Kong, Houston and Shanghai. These recent additions will further bolster the firm in its areas of core competency.
