Polsinelli welcomes Dallas attorney John T. Duncan III as a shareholder in the firm’s strong national Real Estate Finance Practice. Duncan concentrates his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate finance and capital markets transactions involving commercial real estate assets located across the United States, with a particular emphasis on representing CMBS special servicers and other lenders in connection with restructuring complex commercial mortgage loans.
“We’re very excited about the depth of experience and capabilities that John brings to our Dallas office and our growing national practice,” said Real Estate Finance Practice Chair Maribeth McMahon. “Polsinelli is committed to the recruitment of talented attorneys like John who focus on practical solutions and bring great value to our clients.”
Duncan also represents commercial mortgage lenders in connection with loan originations and has helped commercial mortgage lenders develop and launch national loan origination programs. In addition to his transactional practice, clients often seek Duncan’s advice and transactional support in connection with bankruptcy and litigation matters involving commercial mortgage loans.
“I joined Polsinelli because it is a leader in the CMBS industry that is unwilling to rest on its past successes. I am honored to be part of the firm and am very excited about its future,” Duncan said. “Polsinelli offers a national platform to develop my practice and the opportunity to collaborate with incredibly talented attorneys who are also great people. I’m honored to be a part of the national Real Estate Finance Practice and to assist the continued growth of the firm, both in Dallas and across the country.”
Dallas is one of the firm’s key cities which include Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Kansas City, New York, Phoenix, St. Louis and Washington, D.C. The American Lawyer Magazine featured Polsinelli in its June 2013 issue and recognized it as the fastest-growing law firm in America over the past five years. This year, the firm moved up to the 69th position from 78th in The National Law Journal’s ranking of the largest U.S. based law firms.
