Patton Boggs LLP today announced additions to the firm’s Corporate Finance practice that will enhance its existing bench of attorneys in this key area. Gina E. Betts, former partner and chair of the Private Equity practice group in the Dallas office of Locke Lord, has joined Patton Boggs. Ms. Betts is joined by Brad E. Hogan, formerly an associate in the Dallas office of Baker & McKenzie, where he counseled clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities and corporate governance.
Ms. Betts brings diverse experience to Patton Boggs. She represents issuers and purchasers of debt and equity securities in public and private transactions, as well as in LBOs and MBOs, portfolio company acquisitions and dispositions, and fund formations. She also provides counsel on general SBIC and SEC compliance. She earned her J.D. from The American University, Washington College of Law.
Mr. Hogan’s diverse and varied practice experience includes securities offerings, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, venture capital financings and other complex business transactions. He has represented both publicly and privately owned businesses in a wide range of corporate transactions, as well as issuers in public offerings and private placements of debt and equity. He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Prior to law school, Mr. Hogan served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy.
