On July 1st, Patricia Santon will be the first woman elected to Baker Botts’ Dallas office Partner in Charge position.
Stanton is well known as a successful commercial real estate lawyer and already holds several positions at Baker Botts in Dallas. She has worked both in the U.S. and abroad on a variety of real estate projects, from first rate hotels to tenant lease negotiations.
She has also served for a variety of groups, including as a member of both the Board of Trustees for the Dallas Women’s Foundation and the Board of Directors for Commercial Real Estate Women, to which she committed a year as president in 1996.
Baker Botts LLP is a historic firm with international reach. Home to more than 725 lawyers in 13 national and international offices, Baker Botts has recently drawn attention for bringing on a trio of top energy lawyers, bolstering their already impressive reputation in the energy industry. The firm has long been recognized for its reputable technology and life science sectors as well.
Stanton’s new Dallas legal job is a big step both for the firm and Stanton herself. The continued success of Baker Botts in the energy sector and beyond will hopefully open up new opportunities for legal recruiting amongst a wide range of law specialities.
