Haynes and Boone, LLP attorneys advised Service King Collision Repair Centers in its agreement to be acquired by the Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager company. The Carlyle Group acquired majority ownership of the Service King Collision Repair Centers and plan on nationally expanding the auto body repair chain.
The company’s release noted that Service King founder Eddie Lennox will retain a significant ownership stake in Service King while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cathy Bonner has been named as the board of directors chairman to represent Lennox. New equity for the investment will come from Carlyle Equity Opportunities Fund L.P. and Carlyle Strategic Partners Fund III L.P.
