Adam Dougherty has joined Winstead PC as a shareholder in the Labor, Employment and Immigration Practice Group. Dougherty’s practice focuses on employment law and commercial litigation. He has over 10 years experience representing clients in complex employment-related disputes and advising them on a broad range of employment law issues. He joins Winstead from the Dallas office of Baker and McKenzie, LLP, where he was a partner.
Dougherty is board certified in employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He represents clients in class actions, FLSA collective actions, discrimination disputes, trade secret disputes, and other employment law matters. He is an accomplished litigator and served as the lead attorney of the employment law section at his previous firm’s Dallas office. Dougherty is chairman of the Employment Law Subcommittee of the Class Action and Derivative Suits Committee of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section; president of the National Alumni Association for the University of Arkansas School of Law; and a board member of the Dallas Bar Association’s Publications and Speakers Committees. Named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, Dougherty received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Arkansas School of Law where he served on the Law Review, Moot Court and Board of Advocates.
