Haynes and Boone, LLP announces the closing of the majority ownership acquisition of Service King Collision Repair Centers by the Carlyle Group, a global alternative asset manager company.
Service King founder Eddie Lennox will retain a significant ownership stake in Service King while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Cathy Bonner has been named as the board of directors chairman to represent Lennox. New equity for the investment will come from Carlyle Equity Opportunities Fund L.P. and Carlyle Strategic Partners Fund III L.P.
The Haynes and Boone team included Dallas Partner Janice Sharry of the firm’s corporate, mergers and acquisitions practice group; New York Managing Partner Ken Bezozo and Of Counsel Sam Lichtman of the firm’stax practice group and Dallas associates Iain Wood of the firm’s corporate and securities practice group, Mark Robinson of the firm’s corporate practice group and Darius Dills of the firm’s private equity practice group.
