Jackson Walker successfully represented Buffalo Studios LLC, a privately held social and mobile games developer, in the sale of its Bingo Blitz business and Santa Monica, Calif., development studio to Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc.
Created by Buffalo Studios, Bingo Blitz is one of the leading bingo games on Facebook, iOS, Android, and Amazon. Launched in 2010, the Bingo Blitz application now has more than 2.7 million monthly active users, according to the latest figures from AppData.
Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc., is an online, mobile, and social gaming company focused on casino entertainment and is a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment, the world’s largest gaming company. The acquisition of Bingo Blitz is an attractive addition to Caesars’ social and mobile gaming portfolio that will enable it to increase its market share.
A Jackson Walker team including Rick Dahlson, Carl Butzer, Aaron Allred, Ron Kerridge, Jim Griffin, Steve Moore, and Alexandra Hanson represented Buffalo Studios in the transaction, which closed on Dec. 27, 2012. The successful deal demonstrates Jackson Walker’s expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions, which includes representing publicly and privately held companies in a wide range of transactions.
